KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed authorities to take strict action against artificial price hikes during Ramazan, ensuring that citizens do not face undue hardships during the holy month.
The directive came during a Sindh cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, where 30 key agenda items were discussed. Shah emphasized the need to accelerate the completion of development projects, particularly those experiencing delays, and instructed ministers to ensure visible progress.
According to the spokesperson, the Chief Minister stressed that hoarding of essential commodities would not be tolerated, and all necessary steps must be taken to facilitate the public. He ordered strict monitoring of markets to ensure an adequate supply of quality goods at affordable prices. Additionally, Shah directed authorities to guarantee uninterrupted water and electricity supply throughout Ramazan and to improve traffic management to prevent congestion and ensure a smooth experience for citizens.
