KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah led a large rally in Karachi on Thursday to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirming Pakistan’s political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Thousands of participants joined the procession, waving flags and carrying banners, highlighting ongoing concerns over human rights and the right to self-determination in the disputed region. Speaking at the event, Murad Ali Shah recalled the historical role of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in bringing the Kashmir issue to global attention.
CM Sindh said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had courageously raised the matter at the United Nations, helping secure recognition for the plight of Kashmiris. “Today, we clearly convey to the world that we stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people,” he added, describing freedom as the greatest blessing and urging focus on the struggles faced by those living under occupation.
