KARACHI: On Wednesday, the Sindh Textbook Board (STB) announced the successful completion of its textbook distribution initiative to government schools throughout Sindh. This comprehensive effort, which encompasses district and tehsil levels, underscores the provincial government’s dedication to improving educational access and ensuring that every child receives quality learning materials.

In a statement released by the Sindh Information Department, Abdul Aleem Lashari, Chairman of the Sindh Textbook Board, highlighted the commitment of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah to the “Sindh will learn and Sindh will grow” initiative. Both leaders are actively overseeing the delivery of free textbooks to students across the province, ensuring that the educational resources reach their intended recipients effectively. “For the first time in history, the process of distributing textbooks has been completed on time and with full transparency,” Lashari stated.

The distribution involved the printing and delivery of a staggering 4,453,686 sets of books, totaling 24,351,475 individual textbooks, to students throughout Sindh. Following the initial distribution, Lashari announced that specialized teams have been deployed to conduct daily inspections at warehouses and schools across the province. These teams are tasked with assessing the ongoing distribution efforts and addressing any areas with heightened demand for textbooks. “Our teams are ensuring that wherever there is a greater need for books, we are meeting that need promptly,” Lashari explained.

The initiative is part of a broader commitment to enhance educational quality and accessibility in Sindh. Lashari emphasized that providing children with quality education will contribute significantly to the province’s development. “Sindh will grow and move forward,” he remarked, reinforcing the government’s resolve to advance educational opportunities in the region. This historic achievement reflects the Sindh Textbook Board’s dedication to improving educational infrastructure and promoting transparency in the distribution process, marking a significant step forward in the province’s educational landscape.
