KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori addressed a press conference at the Governor House on the occasion of Muhajir Culture Day, highlighting the province’s commitment to celebrating cultural diversity.
Governor Tessori said that the Governor House regularly hosts events marking the cultural days of Sindh, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as all religious festivals, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the province. Muhajir Culture Day, he added, is celebrated under Pakistan’s green and crescent flag, symbolizing unity and national pride.
Governor Tessori described the Governor House as a center representing every culture and community, calling the organization of Muhajir Culture Day a distinct honour. He praised the people of Sindh for warmly welcoming those who migrated to the province, underscoring the spirit of solidarity and inclusiveness.
The Governor emphasized that those spreading hatred on the basis of nationalism would not be allowed to thrive in Sindh or elsewhere in Pakistan. He stressed the importance of protecting the sacrifices of the country’s elders, asserting that Pakistan must never be destabilized, and vowed to counter any voices working against the nation on every front.
Reflecting on historical achievements, Tessori recalled the victory of 10 May, which he said brought respect to Pakistan on the global stage, and noted that the country now faces an economic battle that must be won. He highlighted the international recognition of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as a source of pride for all Pakistanis.
In a tribute to the armed forces, Governor Tessori dedicated Muhajir Culture Day to the martyrs who laid down their lives in service to the nation. He concluded by reaffirming that, under his initiative, efforts to resolve public issues continue around the clock, and extended heartfelt greetings to Muhajir brothers, sisters, elders, and the families of martyrs on the occasion of Muhajir Culture Day.
