KARACHI: In a candid interview with a Pakistani TV channel in London, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori addressed the evolving political landscape in Pakistan, focusing on the ongoing situation surrounding the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. Tessori firmly stated that the case does not appear to be moving toward any potential deals or concessions, emphasizing the need for clarity and accountability in political matters.

During the interview, Tessori urged PTI leaders and their supporters to prioritize the interests of Pakistan above all else. He expressed a sense of urgency for political figures to reflect on their responsibilities to the nation, particularly during these challenging times. The governor’s remarks come against a backdrop of political turmoil, where divisions and party politics often overshadow the pressing needs of the country.

Tessori also touched on the necessity for comprehensive reforms across all institutions, pointing to the recent 26th Amendment as a foundational step in this direction. He indicated that discussions are already underway regarding the anticipated 27th Amendment, which he believes will address critical areas of the judicial system. According to Tessori, these reforms are designed to enhance the functioning of the judiciary, ultimately serving the populace and fostering a more equitable society.

As the nation grapples with multifaceted challenges, Tessori’s emphasis on national interests over party loyalties reflects a growing sentiment among political leaders and citizens alike. The call for reform signifies a collective desire for progress and stability, indicating that the path forward will require cooperation and a commitment to the greater good, rather than adherence to partisan agendas. As Pakistan navigates these turbulent waters, the urgency for decisive action and responsible governance remains paramount.
