SUKKUR: Provincial Minister for Local Government Sindh Syed Nasir Hussain Shah inaugurated the upgraded and renovated parade ground at Sukkur Police Headquarters, highlighting the move as a key step in strengthening the city’s law enforcement capabilities.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Nadir Shahzad Khan, ASP City Captain (R) Muhammad Sohaib Amin, journalists, police officers, soldiers, and families of martyrs. SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan presented shields of honor to the minister and other dignitaries. Speaking at the event, Minister Shah said the upgraded facilities would enhance the professional preparedness of the police force, directly contributing to the peace and security of citizens.

Nasir Shah emphasized the government’s commitment to building a strong, resourceful, and modern police force to maintain law and order across Sindh. Reflecting on the sacrifices of fallen officers, the minister paid tribute to martyrs who lost their lives protecting the public, calling their bravery a guiding example and assuring continued support for their families.

SSP Azhar Khan said the renovation was more than a construction project; it marked a significant step in improving discipline and professionalism within the force. He added that, despite limited resources, Sukkur Police aims to become a model force, and modern facilities would further inspire young officers to combat crime effectively.

The minister also distributed certificates of appreciation to police officers and youth who demonstrated exceptional performance against social evils and criminal elements. He commended SSP Azhar Khan for overseeing the parade ground’s upgradation and extended his best wishes for the continued success of Sukkur Police.
