DADU: Faculty, staff, and students at the University of Sindh campus in Dadu gathered for a rally to show solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces, organisers said. The event, described as a peaceful demonstration of support, was led by Prof. Dr. Aneela Naz Soomro, the campus focal person.
Participants, including male and female students and university employees, chanted slogans in favour of Pakistan and its military, emphasising support for national security and sovereignty.
Addressing the rally, Soomro praised the armed forces for their sacrifices in defending the country’s borders and independence, highlighting the importance of patriotism, unity, and civic responsibility. She accused Afghanistan of harbouring hostile elements, saying Pakistan’s military had responded with courage while undertaking diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives, counter-terrorism operations, and efforts to maintain regional peace.
Soomro added that Pakistan’s security institutions had contributed to restoring domestic peace, a role acknowledged internationally, and reaffirmed the nation’s support for its armed forces. The rally concluded with participants renewing their commitment to unity, peace, discipline, the rule of law, and collective efforts to safeguard the country’s security, stability, and development.
