KHAIRPUR: A meeting of the District Social Welfare Committee was held at Sachal Sarmast Hall in the DC Office, chaired by Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Jilani, Member of the National Assembly. The session reviewed policy guidelines, community proposals, ongoing development schemes, and social welfare initiatives.
Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Jilani highlighted the Social Welfare Funds provided by gas companies in Nara Tehsil, including United Energy Pakistan, OGDC, and Pakistan Petroleum, urging immediate utilization for local schemes. He directed the Health Department to provide necessary revenue components and ensure the timely completion of filter plant projects, warning that negligence would be reported to the High Court.
Delays in road and building projects will not be tolerated. He instructed publication of advertisements for basic facility schemes, and announced that scholarship support for deserving students will be considered in the next meeting. Officers were also tasked with forming a committee to assess medical facilities, including trauma centers, X-ray machines, and dialysis units in Nara Tehsil, and submit detailed reports.
Block-wise details of ongoing projects and development schemes were requested for review, with particular focus on Saidi Road, Surah to Nara Gate, and Phararhiyo Road. The meeting was attended by officials and representatives from the District Council, Education and Health departments, PPHI, gas companies, and other relevant authorities, ensuring comprehensive discussion on social welfare and development priorities.
