HYDERABAD: A court in Hyderabad has sentenced the foster son of Akash Ansari to death for his involvement in the high-profile murder case. The decision was delivered by the Additional Sessions Judge overseeing the trial.
The incident occurred in February 2025, when Ansari’s foster son allegedly set fire to a room in Qasimabad, killing him. Following the crime, police arrested the suspect and registered a case against him.
After hearing arguments from both the prosecution and defence, the court reserved its verdict and on Tuesday pronounced the death sentence. The ruling underscores the severity with which courts are treating cases of familial violence and premeditated murder.
