KARACHI: In a relief for households, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced uninterrupted gas supply for Eid-ul-Fitr, with a revised schedule ensuring smooth availability during peak festive hours. According to the company, gas supply will remain uninterrupted from the night of the moon sighting to the first day of Eid, with gas available throughout the day until 12 midnight, allowing families to prepare meals and celebrate without inconvenience. Authorities have confirmed that necessary measures have been taken to maintain pressure and avoid disruptions during the high-demand holiday period.
The schedule indicates a temporary change on the second day of Eid, when gas supply will be suspended from 12 midnight to 6am, after which normal supply hours will resume. For the third and fourth days of Eid, SSGC has announced that gas will be available from 6am to 12 midnight, aiming to balance demand while ensuring availability during most of the day. The company has stated that the previous gas load-shedding schedule will be restored from March 24, under which gas supply will be suspended from 10pm to 5:30am. SSGC emphasized that steps have been taken to balance the gas line pack and maintain pressure during Eid to prevent disruptions and ensure consistent supply, providing significant relief to consumers during the festive period when usage typically increases.18 pm
