KARACHI: At St Patrick’s High School in Karachi, the Salahuddin Education Foundation distributed 200 ration bags to support financially challenged students and their families. The initiative, carried out during the holy month of Ramadan, aimed to ease the burden of rising living costs.
The distribution ceremony was organized in collaboration with the school administration. Its goal was to ensure that students from underprivileged backgrounds could continue their education without the added stress of financial hardship at home. Each ration bag contained essential food items to help sustain families during these difficult times.
Representatives of the foundation emphasized that education and welfare must go hand in hand. They noted that many talented students struggle to pursue their studies due to economic difficulties. Initiatives like this, they said, provide relief and encouragement so students can focus on their academic growth.
Speaking at the event, Fr Mario Rodrigues thanked the organizers and reaffirmed the school’s and foundation’s commitment to education and social welfare. He expressed hope that the effort would bring comfort to the beneficiaries and inspire others to contribute to similar humanitarian causes.
The students and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Salahuddin Education Foundation for its generosity and concern for their well-being. The foundation continues to work with St Patrick’s High School to empower young people through educational support and community assistance programs, striving to build a brighter future for the next generation.
