SUKKUR: District Council Chairman Syed Kamail Hyder Shah, accompanied by SSP Sukkur Amjad Shaikh, inaugurated 13 new police checkposts in the riverine area along the embankment of the River Indus. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between the District Council Sukkur and local law enforcement to bolster security in the region.
The newly established checkposts are strategically positioned on the protective embankment to curb criminal activities and prevent unauthorized entry into Sukkur. This move follows a similar effort last year when the District Council Sukkur funded the establishment of 10 checkpoints.
Chairman Syed Kamail Hyder Shah emphasized the importance of these checkpoints in enhancing local security. He noted that the checkpoints are equipped with advanced security features, including watchtowers for comprehensive surveillance. The Chairman expressed his commitment to implementing police recommendations to improve security and maintain peace in Sukkur. He assured that ongoing efforts are being made to improve the district and ensure the welfare of its residents.
