SUKKUR: Sukkur IBA University successfully hosted the 7th edition of “Ek Din Sale Ka,” its annual student-driven entrepreneurial event organized by the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership & Incubation (CELInc). The event was inaugurated by Prof Dr Asif Ahmed Shaikh, Vice Chancellor of the university, who attended as the chief guest.

Prof Shaikh praised CELInc and the participating students for transforming the campus into a vibrant marketplace of ideas, skills, and creativity. He highlighted the event’s role in nurturing future business leaders, equipping them with practical experience in teamwork, financial management, customer engagement, and sales.

Designed to provide hands-on entrepreneurial learning, “Ek Din Sale Ka” offered students a real-world platform to develop, market, and sell their products. Hundreds of participants took part this year, with every stall encouraging e-payments to promote digital financial literacy. Dr Ikhtiar Ahmed Khoso, Director of CELInc, said such initiatives cultivated an entrepreneurial mindset vital for Pakistan’s evolving economy.

The event featured 150 student-managed stalls across categories including food, gaming, garments, accessories, and pets, allowing students to gain practical experience through live selling and product demonstrations.

A notable highlight was the inclusion of two panel discussions aimed at strengthening students’ entrepreneurial capacity: “Employees to Enterprise: Integrating Entrepreneurial Mindset in Universities’ Ecosystem” and “Future Founders: Building the Entrepreneurial Skillset for University Youth.”

The day concluded with a lively musical night, providing students with a memorable ending to a day filled with learning, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Through initiatives like “Ek Din Sale Ka,” Sukkur IBA University continues to empower youth with experiential learning opportunities, preparing them to become dynamic entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders contributing to Pakistan’s economic and social development.
