TANDO ALLAHYAR: Jamaat-e-Islami organized an all-parties conference in Tando Allahyar, bringing together leaders and activists from a wide range of political and religious parties to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The conference was attended by representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami, Shia Ulema Council, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, MQM, Jamiat Talaba Arabia, Pakistan Central Muslim League and Anjuman Tajran.

Addressing a media briefing, Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh general secretary Muhammad Yousuf, district ameer Asif Yasin Qaimkhani, Ameer Shahrao Javed, district general secretary Ashiq Khanzada, TLP leader Abdul Jabbar Mughal and Shia Ulema Council leader Advocate Zameer Haider Jafri said Pakistan stood united with its Kashmiri Muslim brothers.

The speakers said that while the nation expressed solidarity with Kashmir, the government had failed to take concrete steps, allowing the issue to drift further away. They announced that people across Pakistan would take to the streets on February 5 to reaffirm support for Kashmir and to send a clear message to India and Israel that their objectives would not be achieved.

They said every Muslim in Pakistan would continue to struggle for the freedom of Kashmir and stressed that Kashmiris would not be abandoned under any circumstances. The speakers urged the international community to take notice of what they described as ongoing atrocities against Kashmiris, accusing India of violating basic human values while claiming to be the world’s largest democracy.
