    TAY police launch crackdown on drug peddlers

    TANDO ALLAHYAR: On the orders of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hyderabad Range, Tariq Razak Khan Dharejo, the Tando Allahyar Police conducted a series of targeted operations against drug peddlers across the district, resulting in multiple arrests and the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics and related materials.

    SSP Tando Allahyar Syed Saleem Shah directed all station house officers (SHOs) to take strict action against drug trafficking networks, leading to the recovery of 2 gutka-making machines, 2,980 grams of hashish, 1,790 gutkas, 124 kilograms of raw material, 30 liters of country-made liquor, and 1,075 pieces of mead. Six accused were arrested, and seven cases were registered against them.

    In Mashaikh Hoti, police arrested two accused involved in drug peddling, seizing 2 gutka-making machines, 64 kilograms of raw material, 1,400 gutkas, two drums, and other equipment. The arrested were identified as Ali Hassan, son of Muhammad Waris, and Shahjan, son of Safar.

    In Pyaro Londe, police apprehended a drug trafficker and recovered 2,980 grams of hashish.

    In Dasuri, Ghulam Abbas alias Babu was arrested, with officers recovering 30 liters of country-made liquor and 190 pieces of gutka. Two cases were registered against him. In Sanjarchang, police arrested Devraj, son of Bhupo, and seized 575 pieces of manna padi, registering a case against him.

    In Bakiera Sharif, Amir Ahmed, son of Muhammad Sharif, was arrested, with 500 pieces of manna padi and 60 kilograms of raw material recovered from his possession. In Sultanabad, Wali Muhammad, son of Ghulam Qadir, was apprehended and 200 pieces of gutka were recovered. A case was registered in his name.

    Authorities said these operations demonstrate the district police’s ongoing commitment to eradicating drug trafficking, curbing substance abuse, and ensuring public safety across Tando Allahyar.
