TANDO ALLAHYAR: SSP Tando Allahyar Syed Saleem Shah chaired a meeting at the Shaheed Sher Muhammad Conference Hall in Tando Allahyar to review progress in the ongoing crackdown against drugs and crime across the district.

The meeting was attended by SDPOs, SHOs, heads of branches, unit in-charges and head muharrirs. Officers reviewed the action taken so far against narcotics and were instructed to carry out an indiscriminate and effective crackdown on heroin, hashish, gutka, mawa, main padi, ice and other drugs. It was made clear that no negligence would be tolerated.

The SSP gave a detailed briefing on crime prevention and ordered the strictest action against criminals. He directed that operations against drug peddlers and criminal elements should be further intensified and that professional performance must be improved.

He instructed SHOs and outpost in-charges, under the supervision of SDPOs, to make snap checking and patrolling more effective to maintain law and order in their respective areas. He also ordered action against tinted windows, unregistered vehicles, fancy number plates and the misuse of flashlights, and stressed strict enforcement of traffic rules to improve traffic management.

The SSP further directed strict action against those involved in illegal activities targeting beneficiaries and officials of the Benazir Income Support Program, and called for effective monitoring of the scheme. He said indiscriminate action against criminal elements, drug peddlers and those involved in social evils would continue in the future.
