KARACHI: The eighth day of the ten-day Family Flower Festival in Korangi Town saw large crowds and high-profile attendees, including Jani Memon, president of Pakistan Peoples Party Korangi division, Sindh Chief Minister spokesperson Syeda Tehseen Abidi, and Member of the Provincial Assembly Muhammad Farooq Awan.
The event, organized by Korangi Town Chairman Murtaza Naeem Sheikh, drew thousands of families, local councilors, party officials, and community members. Musical performances and cultural activities were held at Eidgah Ground, beginning with the national anthem. Chairman Sheikh guided guests through the flower exhibition, while Parks Director Moeen Jutt explained the quality of the floral displays.
Special awards and shields were presented to the guests before the musical program commenced. Renowned Sindhi singer Asghar Khuso performed, entertaining the audience and prompting enthusiastic applause from families, children, and youth. Syeda Tehseen Abidi praised the festival for providing healthy recreation and lauded Sheikh’s efforts in promoting cultural and recreational activities for the public.
Chairman Sheikh announced that on the final day of the festival, four complete Uah packages and ten motorcycles would be distributed among lucky participants through a draw, further boosting public excitement. The day concluded with guests touring festival stalls and commending the organizers, marking the event as a successful and memorable celebration for the people of Korangi.
