DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces in Dera Ismail Khan have killed three militants during separate intelligence-driven operations in Kulachi Tehsil.
The operations were launched in Garah Jahan Khani village and the Loni area after reports of terrorist activity. According to officials, militants opened fire on security personnel, who responded promptly and effectively.
Two militants, identified as Khayam and Dilawar, were killed in Garah Jahan Khani, while a third, Nadeem alias “Jannati,” was killed in Loni. Sources confirmed that all three belonged to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Gandapur group and were wanted in multiple cases, including bombings and targeted attacks on police.
Weapons and explosives were recovered from the militants’ possession. Security forces have cordoned off the areas, with follow-up operations ongoing to locate any remaining suspects.
Officials highlighted that the operations were conducted professionally and reaffirmed their commitment to combat terrorism and ensure public safety in the region.
