KARACHI: Prominent TikTok creators from Korangi and Landhi were honored at a dinner hosted by Korangi Town chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, recognizing their contributions during the spring flower show.
The ceremony, held at the CIT Centre seminar hall, celebrated young social media content creators for promoting positive activities and showcasing local talent. Cash prizes were also awarded to standout performers. Parliamentary leader Tanveer Abbasi, TMC Korangi spokesperson Nazia Naz, and KLIC coordinator Jawad Jillani were among the elected representatives and guests in attendance.
Speakers praised the enthusiastic participation of young people in the flower show, noting that such initiatives helped project a positive image of the city and encouraged creative expression at the grassroots level.
In his address, Naeem Sheikh said young people were spreading constructive messages through social media and that the town administration would continue supporting talented creators. He added that the TikTokers’ creative contributions had enhanced the appeal of the flower show and received wide public appreciation.
Abbasi described the chairman’s efforts to encourage youth as commendable, while Naz said the positive use of social media was guiding the younger generation. Jillani said programs of this kind created opportunities for local talent to grow. The event concluded with informal interactions between guests and content creators, who thanked the town administration for recognizing their work.
