TANDO ALLAHYAR: A trader was robbed of Rs900,000 at gunpoint in broad daylight in Tando Allahyar, amid a reported rise in street crime in the city.
According to police and local residents, two armed men on a motorcycle targeted trader Asif Samoon after he withdrew cash from a bank. The suspects followed him and intercepted him near Amina Super Store, where they threatened him with weapons and snatched the money before fleeing the scene.
The robbers managed to escape, while police later arrived at the spot and began an investigation. The incident has added to growing concerns among citizens over increasing incidents of robbery and dacoity carried out openly at gunpoint in Tando Allahyar.
