WASHINGTON: Karoline Leavitt said US President Donald Trump is confident that the objectives of the ongoing war with Iran will be achieved quickly.
Speaking to reporters, the White House spokesperson said the military operation would continue until the goals set by the US president are fulfilled.
Leavitt also stated that the United States Navy has not provided protection to any ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
She added that Trump and his energy team are closely monitoring global markets and are considering additional options as the situation develops.
