WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran is nearing destruction while vowing that the United States will defend the Strait of Hormuz for everyone, as he addressed media on the ongoing conflict and regional security. President Trump stated that the Iranian leadership has been eliminated and Iranian authorities are currently searching for new leadership, adding that a retaliatory response from Iran was expected but the matter will conclude soon.
The president confirmed that no troops are being deployed anywhere, and he will discuss Japan’s support regarding Iran, believing that Japan is playing its part. He stated that talks on military equipment with Japan will take place. President Trump revealed that he has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to attack gas installations, adding that Iran is demanding further funds for war.
He observed that deviations are occurring at all levels in Iran, with a large number of troops defecting. The president suggested that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell should lower the interest rate. President Trump emphasized that the United States does not require anything from anyone but remains prudent, adding that the US could destroy Kharg Island and is taking measures to secure the Strait of Hormuz.
