ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has made a significant statement regarding the charge sheet filed against Lieutenant General (R) Faiz Hameed, asserting that it is not only directed at the former military officer but also implicates the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Asif remarked that it is unreasonable to suggest that Faiz Hameed acted alone in the controversial events under investigation.
The Federal Minister hinted that the charge sheet, which is based on substantial evidence, would ultimately expose the true mastermind behind the alleged conspiracy, a role he believes belongs to the PTI founder. He suggested that the PTI leader, who he claimed was deeply involved in the events surrounding May 9, is well aware of the evidence that Faiz Hameed could present.
