KARACHI: The grand finale of Runway 2024: Summer Edition captivated audiences with a dazzling display of traditional Balochi embroidery, brought to life by Jan Bibi Collection. The event showcased an exquisite fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern elegance, highlighting the intricate handiwork of rural Balochi women artisans.
The runway was transformed into a vibrant tapestry of colorful, detailed embroidery, expertly paired with gold thread metallic accents on luxurious fabrics. Models graced the stage in a series of breathtaking outfits, each more striking than the last, delivering a perfect conclusion to the fashion extravaganza. The show was directed and choreographed by supermodel Aasif Rehmaan, whose vision ensured a seamless flow of the presentation. The male grooming and hair and make-up for the female models were expertly handled by Ilyas Salon, adding a polished and sophisticated touch to the overall look.
The red carpet host for the evening was Syeda Nazia, while the show was hosted at the prestigious Russian Centre for Science and Culture (Friendship House). The event was graced by several distinguished guests from the Russian Federation, including Director Ruslan Mikhailovich Prokhorov, Doctor Natalia, Head of Education, Miss Fariha Aqib, Coordinator of Russian Friendship House, Mikhail, Education Assistant, and Russian Language teachers Professor Roman and Anton Dolgov. The grand finale of Runway 2024: Summer Edition not only celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Balochi embroidery but also highlighted the collaborative spirit and global connections within the fashion and cultural spheres.
