The blast was so powerful that motorcycles parked near the sewer line were hurled into the air, akin to toys, while the loud noise caused widespread panic in the vicinity.
Emergency response teams, including the police and bomb disposal squad, quickly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. After assessing the evidence, they confirmed that the explosion was caused by gas buildup in the drain. One of the motorcycles that was propelled into the air landed on a nearby car, resulting in damage to both vehicles. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities following the incident.
