KARACHI: In a tragic incident that has left the local community in shock, a 42-year-old woman named Sana was found dead in her apartment in Karachi’s upscale Defence area, raising suspicions of poisoning. The discovery was made near Muslim Commercial Lane No. 8 in Defence Phase 6, where authorities were called after she was found unresponsive.
Upon their arrival, police collected preliminary evidence from the scene while rescue workers from the Chhipa Welfare Association assisted in transporting Sana’s body to Jinnah Hospital for a post-mortem examination and other legal formalities. The initial findings suggest that her death may be linked to the ingestion of a toxic substance, although the specific details surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage.
The Darakhshan police have initiated an investigation into the case, aiming to uncover the circumstances leading to Sana’s untimely death. As the inquiry progresses, law enforcement officials are working diligently to gather more information, including interviewing potential witnesses and examining any available evidence. Importantly, authorities have not yet confirmed whether foul play is involved in the incident, and they are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death.
