KARACHI: Police in Malir Cantonment arrested a woman allegedly involved in drug peddling during a targeted operation carried out on the basis of confidential information, officials said on Friday.

The SHO, along with a police team, conducted the raid and detained the suspect, who was identified as Ayesha Nizam. High-quality heroin was recovered from her possession.

According to police, the suspect had been supplying narcotics in different parts of Malir. A case was registered against her under the Narcotics Act and further investigation was under way, a spokesperson for Malir police said.
