SUKKUR/GHOTKI: In a joint operation by Sukkur Range police, Ghotki district police, Sindh Rangers, and with support from the Federal Civil Intelligence Agency, 11 kidnapping victims were safely rescued, authorities announced on Wednesday.
According to police, the victims had been lured from various districts in Punjab using deceptive tactics such as female impersonation and low-cost vehicles before being abducted. Kidnappers later demanded ransoms for their release. During the targeted operation, the hostages were recovered unharmed following a confrontation with the criminals.
The rescued individuals include Mushtaq Ahmed, Alimdar Hussain, Hasan Nawaz, Ali Hussain, Mansab Ali (Phool Nagar, Kasur), Muhammad Ishaq (Qila Didar Singh, Gujranwala), Saleem Jan (Rajanpur), Muhammad Ijaz (Bahawalpur), Waris Khan (Attock), Abdul Rashid (Lahore), and Khizar Hayat (Multan).
The operation also resulted in the dismantling of the kidnappers’ hideouts. Sukkur Range DIG Captain (Retired) Faisal Abdullah Chachar said that operations against criminal and kidnapping networks would continue until the groups are completely neutralised.
