DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The funeral of Major Adil Zaman Sadozai, who was martyred during a security operation in Bajaur district, was held in his hometown of Dera Ismail Khan with full official honours.
Thousands of mourners, including senior civil and military officials, political figures, and local citizens, attended the funeral prayers at Government Islamia School. Inspector General Frontier Corps (North) Major General Rao Imran Sartaj and Inspector General Frontier Corps (South) Major General Muhammad Imran Rao were among the dignitaries present.
After the prayers, Major Sadozai was laid to rest in a local graveyard. A Pakistan Army contingent rendered a ceremonial salute, and floral wreaths were placed on the grave as a mark of respect for his sacrifice. Station Commander Brigadier Muhammad Abu Bakar, District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, and other senior officials also attended.
Major Adil Zaman Sadozai, serving with Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North), attained martyrdom during an operation against Fitna-al-Khawarij in Bajaur. He hailed from Mohalla Garhi Sadozai in Dera Ismail Khan and was the only son of retired DSP Sher Zaman Sadozai. He leaves behind two young children, a son in prep class and a small daughter.
The city of Dera Ismail Khan mourned the loss of a brave officer who laid down his life for the security and integrity of Pakistan.
