KARACHI: The third entry test for free IT courses under the Peoples Youth Skills Development Program (PYSDP) was successfully conducted at Eidgah Ground, Korangi ½3, under the supervision of Korangi Town Chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh. Nearly 4,000 students participated, reflecting growing interest and confidence among the youth of Korangi.

Chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, addressing the students, said that the youth of Korangi are the town’s future and possess great potential. He emphasized that PYSDP aims to equip young people in Korangi and across Karachi with modern IT education and technical skills, enabling them to complete courses and secure respectable employment in today’s digital era.

Sindh Chief Minister’s Advisor Najmi Alam encouraged students, saying, “You are the future of Korangi. Study well and move forward—some of you will become commissioners, professors, politicians, engineers, doctors, or lawyers.”

Highlighting the importance of IT, Syed Junaid Ahmed said that no field today operates without IT. He noted that IT has revolutionized education through online classes, e-learning platforms, digital libraries, and smartphones, while also accelerating business and trade through e-commerce, online banking, and digital payments.

Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad added that IT has enhanced e-governance, transparency, and public services in government systems while creating new employment opportunities such as software development, freelancing, and digital marketing. Rawal Sharjeel said that IT has become the foundation of progress in the modern era and that free IT courses represent an important step toward a bright future for Korangi’s youth.
