ISLAMABAD: Over the past quarter of a century since its inception, the Boao Forum for Asia has effectively become a “pathways platform” for the Asian continent and beyond, deliberating on pressing regional and global issues and putting forward pertinent solutions.
This was noted by the Eurasian Century Institute (ECI), an independent Islamabad-based think tank. ECI highlighted that, every spring over the past 25 years, the Boao Forum has consistently brought together senior statesmen, officials, experts and business leaders from the Asia-Pacific and the wider world, facilitating in-depth, candid and relevant exchanges that open new vistas.
“In a world continuously marred by instability and uncertainty, such platforms effectively become the go-to place for the planet’s solution-seeking leadership,” ECI underscored.
It is widely recognized that participants in the forum not only have the opportunity to learn from the extraordinary development experience of China and the opportunities the People’s Republic offers through its continued “opening up”, but also share their own experiences, observations and ideas — blending perspectives towards a shared global future.
This year’s forum is being held at a time when the world is confronting one of its most uncertain periods, with an increasingly unpredictable trajectory for peace, stability and development. Against this backdrop, the deliberations at the Boao Forum 2026 carry significant value for regional and global policymakers. As in previous years, a high-level delegation from Pakistan is also participating in the forum.
