DADU: Dadu Police reported a major success in its ongoing “Operation Al-Meezan” as six dangerous dacoits surrendered to authorities. Among them, the notorious Azam Solangi, wanted in 16 criminal cases including robbery and armed encounters, handed himself over to Mehar Police.
In a separate incident, a five-member gang led by Akbar alias Akko Jamali surrendered to the CIA Police, facing charges including motorcycle theft, armed robbery, and possession of illegal weapons.
Senior Superintendent of Police Captain (R) Amir Saud Magsi said that dozens of proclaimed offenders have either been arrested or voluntarily surrendered during the operation. He added that earlier phases saw the apprehension of other gangs.
SSP Magsi reaffirmed the police’s commitment to eradicating crime, pledging that the crackdown will continue until the district is fully secured.
