TEL AVIV: Israel has firmly ruled out the inclusion of Turkish troops in the international force planned for Gaza, as airstrikes and tensions continue in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

An Israeli government spokesperson, Shosh Bedrosian, stated, “No Turkish soldier will set foot on Gaza soil.” Earlier, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar had similarly dismissed Turkey’s participation, citing the anti-Israel stance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s government.

Meanwhile, Israeli air operations in Gaza have continued. In Khan Yunis, two Palestinians, including a child, were killed. The West Bank has also seen ongoing military activity. Arab media reports indicate that since the truce was signed last month, over 240 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. Under the ceasefire agreement, 600 aid trucks were to enter Gaza daily, but only around 200 trucks have been allowed so far. Israel has released 15 Palestinian prisoners during this period, yet attacks on civilians continue.
