DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Government Primary School No. 1 marked December 25 with a ceremony celebrating Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary, attended by Pakistan Army Captain Abdullah and SDO Education Dr. Humayun Khan Khattak as chief guests.

The event saw Secretary of Information Peace Committee Chaudhry Shahid Raj, ASDEO Dera Naveed Badauzai, the head teacher, teaching staff, and numerous students in attendance. Captain Abdullah was welcomed with flowers and a traditional Saraiki Ajrak, while students showered petals in tribute.

Students presented tableaux, national songs, speeches, and placards expressing patriotism and support for the Pakistan Army. Head Teacher Shahzada Muhammad Kamran led slogans of Pakistan Zindabad and Pakistan Army Zindabad, praising the students’ enthusiasm.

Dr. Khattak highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline, urging that they could help overcome internal divisions and external threats. He also announced the school’s relocation to a new building with ten classrooms and a spacious courtyard to enhance academic and extracurricular activities.

Captain Abdullah lauded the students’ displays of patriotism, underscoring the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and security institutions. He urged young people to focus on education as future leaders and assured support from the military in addressing the school’s needs.

The ceremony concluded with a shared commitment to the values of the nation and its founder.
