KARACHI: The Defence Police successfully foiled a robbery and arrested a suspect involved in street crime on 24 December 2025. During the timely operation, one member of a criminal gang was apprehended while two others managed to flee the scene.
According to police details, three suspects riding a Honda 125 motorcycle were stopped by the authorities after being identified as suspicious. During the operation, one suspect, identified as Baqar, son of Ghulam Yaseen, was arrested along with a firearm. His two accomplices, Sajjad, son of Aslam, and Adil, son of an unknown individual, managed to escape.
Police recovered a 30-bore pistol with two rounds from the possession of the arrested suspect, along with the stolen Honda 125 motorcycle bearing registration number KQO-6671, which had been snatched within the jurisdiction of the Defence Police Station.
A fresh case has been registered against the arrested suspect under Section 23(i)A of the Sindh Arms Act at the Defence Police Station (FIR No. 1094/2025). Authorities are conducting further investigations with the suspect and ongoing raids are underway to apprehend the fugitives.
The District South Police spokesperson confirmed the operation, emphasizing the department’s commitment to combating street crime and ensuring public safety.
