KARACHI: The Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SSSI) held its monthly performance review meeting at the head office under the chairmanship of Commissioner Hadi Bakhsh Kalhoro on 24 December. The meeting was attended by Vice Commissioner Sikandar Baloch, Director of Contribution and Benefit Dr Ghulam Dastgir, Deputy Director Wasim Jamal, IT Director Hamid Ali, and all field directors of SSSI across the province.
During the meeting, Commissioner Kalhoro instructed field directors to actively inform employers of commercial and industrial establishments about the benefits of the social security scheme, ensuring that workers and their families directly benefit from it. He emphasized the need to accelerate the registration of industrial and commercial enterprises, as well as workers, under the scheme.
The commissioner stressed the importance of increasing contribution collection and worker registrations, directing that monthly social security contributions from all registered enterprises be received through the online portal. He urged officers to meet monthly collection targets and speed up the verification of closed commercial establishments, submitting reports promptly to the head office.
Commissioner Kalhoro highlighted that the social security scheme is the province’s largest welfare initiative for protected workers and called for its implementation with integrity and adherence to legal frameworks. He also instructed that the issuance of Benazir Mazdoor Cards to all eligible workers be completed as soon as possible.
