DADU: A woman was killed and seven others were injured when a speeding trailer collided with a Qingqi rickshaw on the Indus Highway near Manjhand on Wednesday, police said.
The injured include six women and a minor girl. Following the crash, they were taken to Sun Hospital, where they received first aid before being referred to Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Hospital in Jamshoro for further treatment.
Police said the body of the deceased woman was handed over to her heirs after completion of legal formalities. The accident was caused by over speeding, they added. The trailer driver has been arrested and the vehicle taken into custody, while further investigation is under way.
