KARACHI: Acting on a tip-off, Nazimabad Police successfully apprehended a car robbery gang within 12 hours through swift and technically coordinated operations.
The suspects had been carrying out armed robberies in various areas of Nazimabad and Karachi using a white Alto car. Surveillance footage from Nazimabad CPK cameras helped identify the culprits and the vehicle, while CCTV recordings of the incident were also recovered by the police.
The latest robbery occurred near Chiniot Hospital in Block 04, Nazimabad, where a citizen was looted. Police immediately launched an operation and arrested the suspects, who have prior criminal records in multiple police jurisdictions.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Habibullah son of Mir Alam, Abid son of Aziz-ur-Rehman, and Zohaib son of Ghaffar. Two 30-bore pistols with rounds and stolen mobile phones were recovered from their possession. A case has been registered at Nazimabad Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing, confirmed SSP Central District spokesperson Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui.
