DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two people, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed and another was injured in two separate road accidents at Makkar Drain Bridge and Dera Draban Chowk in Dera Ismail Khan.
In the first incident, which occurred within the jurisdiction of Prova police station, a speeding tractor collided with a Chingchi rickshaw at Makkar Drain Bridge. The Chingchi owner and rider, 35-year-old Rahimuddin Mehsud, son of Behar Shah, died at the scene, while Zahidullah, son of Syed Rehman, sustained injuries.
The Chingchi rickshaw was also damaged in the collision. Police said a case was registered on the complaint of Zainuddin, and legal proceedings were initiated.
In the second incident, within the limits of Dera Town police station, a rocket truck struck a motorcycle at Dera Draban Chowk. As a result, 12-year-old Mudassir Mehsud, son of Sohail and a resident of Zafarabad Colony, died on the spot.
His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan, for legal formalities.
