KARACHI: The Medical Aid Committee (MAC) of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) celebrated its founding anniversary on Saturday at the party’s Bahadurabad headquarters, unveiling its 2026 calendar and poster.
Senior MQM-P leader Dr Farooq Sattar congratulated MAC staff and volunteers, calling them “the movement’s strongest arm” and praising their dedication during blood donation camps, emergency relief operations, and natural disasters. He emphasised unity within the ranks and maintaining a spirit of service as the key to connecting with the public.
Former provincial minister and MQM-P central leader Shabbir Qaimkhani addressed the volunteers, highlighting ethics and professionalism. He described party members as “ambassadors of the movement” and urged them to maintain courteous conduct, cautioning against negative use of social media and stressing patience and compassion even in adversity. “Good behaviour can overcome the fiercest adversary, while ill conduct can turn friends into foes,” he said.
The ceremony concluded with the formal release of the MAC’s 2026 calendar and poster. The event was attended by National Assembly member Nighat Shakil, central leader Zahid Mansoor, members of the Central Organising and Coordination Committee, and numerous hospital-based volunteers.
