DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Abdul Nasir Khan visited multiple areas of the city to review ongoing development projects, sanitation arrangements and the progress of the anti-encroachment drive.
His first stop was the head office of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC), where he inspected renovation work on the office building and parking area. He also reviewed the flat office setup, rooms, sheds and service deck, and examined beautification work adjacent to the WSSC office, including monuments and decorative structures. On the spot, he issued instructions for their renovation and improvement.
The Deputy Commissioner then reviewed the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign across the city. He directed Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan to immediately remove all encroachments from roads to ensure smooth traffic flow, maintain cleanliness and improve public convenience.

He also inspected development work on Tehsil Road being carried out by the Communication and Works Highways Department. Noticing temporary encroachments at the site, he instructed their immediate removal to allow construction to proceed without obstruction. Towards the end of his visit, Abdul Nasir Khan oversaw the clearance of the right of way for flyover projects, including the removal of the boundary wall of a church and adjacent shops.
Speaking to Media Homes CEO Muhammad Rehan, the Deputy Commissioner said these ongoing efforts by the district administration aimed to make the city more beautiful, clean and modern. He added that citizens also had a responsibility to cooperate with the administration and avoid encroachments.
