DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In a well-organized ceremony at Bannu Sports Complex, Regional Sports Officer of Bannu Division, Anwar Kamal Barki, distributed FIFA-approved footballs among various football teams and young players in the region.

During the event, not only registered football teams in full kits received footballs, but students from different religious seminaries (madaris) and young players associated with football at the regional level also benefited from this initiative.

Addressing the ceremony, Anwar Kamal Barki emphasized that guiding the younger generation toward healthy and positive activities is the need of the hour. He stated that sports play a vital role not only in physical development but also in fostering discipline, teamwork, and tolerance. He highlighted that the main objective of this initiative is to steer youth away from negative influences and bring them onto sports grounds, allowing them the chance to represent the country at national and international levels.

The Regional Sports Officer further added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and the Sports Department are taking practical steps to provide better sports facilities to the youth, and similar programs will continue in the future. He stressed that these efforts would help talented players from Bannu Division and surrounding areas gain better opportunities to advance in their sporting careers.

Players and coaches attending the event appreciated the initiative, noting that the provision of FIFA-approved footballs would not only raise the standard of the game but also boost the morale of young players.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants expressed hope that such initiatives would further promote sports activities and increase youth engagement in positive pursuits across the region.
