DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Gomal Medical College recently hosted a seminar focused on the safe and responsible use of radiation in medical diagnosis and treatment, attracting doctors, technical staff, students, and members of the public. The event aimed to promote safety protocols, raise awareness of potential health risks, and enhance professional training in line with modern medical standards.
Experts at the seminar highlighted radiation as an indispensable tool in contemporary healthcare while cautioning that careless use can pose serious health risks. Speakers stressed the importance of radiation protection, correct operation of advanced equipment, use of protective gear, and adherence to internationally recognized safety protocols. Practical demonstrations and the latest research findings were shared to strengthen participants’ understanding.

Special recognition was given to Dr Asadullah and his team for organizing the seminar, and Professor Dr Shakeel Ahmad was credited for his leadership, planning, and supervision that ensured the program ran smoothly. Dr Rahila Bano was also praised for her exceptional organizational skills and dedication in creating an engaging learning environment.
