KARACHI: A delegation from the United Ulama Council of Pakistan, led by Maulana Muhammad Amin Ansari, visited the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi to meet Consul General Akbar Eissa Zadeh. The delegation extended best wishes for the success of the new consul and expressed solidarity with the Iranian government and people amid recent developments in the country.
During the meeting, Consul General Eissa Zadeh thanked the Pakistani government and citizens for their support during the twelve-day war imposed by Israel and the United States on Iran, and for backing the Palestinian resistance. He also noted the influence of Western media propaganda on perceptions of Iran’s Supreme Leader, highlighting the role of vigilant Pakistani authorities and citizens in countering these narratives.

Maulana Muhammad Amin Ansari praised Iran’s leadership and people for their steadfast resistance against aggression and expansionism. He said the council has actively promoted Muslim unity for 18 years and considered it a duty to stand with Iran during challenging times.
Maulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain echoed these sentiments, describing the Islamic Revolution as a growing force for global Muslim unity, and recited verses by Allama Iqbal while praying for the triumph of Islam and the end of global colonialism.

Dr Syed Shamil Ahmad Qadri Hanbali, Vice President of the Muttahida Ulema Mahaz Pakistan and a faculty member at the University of Karachi, described Wilayat-e-Faqih as a source of pride for Muslims and a framework for establishing Islamic law.
