DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A representative delegation of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students, led by President Waqas, met with Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Dera, Professor Dr. Shakeebullah, to discuss pressing issues related to student registration.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted that delays and uncertainty in the registration process have caused significant mental stress among students and are adversely affecting their academic progress. The students expressed appreciation for the Vice Chancellor’s personal involvement, commitment, and proactive role in addressing the matter, describing it as a student-friendly initiative.
The delegation stated that, due to the Vice Chancellor’s efforts, hope has been restored among DVM students, and confidence strengthened that the university administration is serious about resolving student issues. They praised Professor Dr. Shakeebullah’s intervention as commendable.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Shakeebullah informed the students that a meeting of the Pakistan Veterinary Council is scheduled for February 7, during which the registration issue will be formally discussed and is expected to be resolved. He assured that the university administration remains in continuous contact with the relevant authorities and is taking all possible measures to safeguard students’ academic futures.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized that the registration issue will be resolved in accordance with law and regulations, ensuring that no student suffers any injustice.
The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with students expressing satisfaction over the assurances given and optimism that the long-standing problem would soon be resolved.
