ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bangladesh have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors, following a telephonic discussion between senior officials from both countries.

The conversation took place between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Bangladesh’s Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain. During the call, they reviewed the state of bilateral relations, with particular focus on trade and economic collaboration. Both officials highlighted the potential for deeper engagement to boost commercial ties and mutual development.

The discussion also covered recent regional and international developments, with the two sides sharing perspectives on challenges and opportunities in South Asia and beyond. They stressed that sustained dialogue was essential for addressing shared concerns and promoting stability.

In addition, the officials emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including economic growth, regional connectivity, and people-to-people engagement. Both underscored that close collaboration could contribute not only to bilateral prosperity but also to broader peace and stability in the region.

The call reflected an ongoing effort by both countries to maintain strong diplomatic channels and to explore avenues for constructive partnership. It also signaled a mutual intent to remain engaged on strategic issues while fostering an environment conducive to economic and social progress.
