KARACHI: A delegation of the Crime Reporters Association met with Director General of the Press Information Department, Erum Tanveer, to discuss matters related to the welfare of crime reporters, with a particular focus on the issuance of health cards for journalists.
The delegation included CRA President Sameer Qureshi, Vice President Ubaid Shah, Information Secretary Muhammad Asif Khan, and Governing Body member Matloob Baig. During the meeting, DG Erum Tanveer informed the delegation that the health card programme for crime reporters would be launched in the new financial year. She advised that a list of applications from crime reporters be prepared and submitted to the Press Information Department, after which the scheme would be implemented following official procedures.
The Crime Reporters Association thanked DG Tanveer for her positive cooperation and for taking an active interest in the issues faced by crime reporters. The meeting was described as cordial and encouraging, with the hope expressed that this initiative would soon be implemented to benefit the welfare of crime
