DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Prominent elders and political figures from Tehsil Darazinda, Tehsil Daraban Kalan, Chodhwan, Musa Zai and surrounding areas formally joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) under the leadership of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

The ceremony was held at the District Auditorium under the supervision of Tehsil Nazim Darazinda, Izzat Gul Sherani, with Gandapur as the chief guest. Notable participants included Najib Shah, Ashraf Khan, Sheikh Quddus, Rozi Khan, Mansoor Khan, Khidmat Khan, Sher Ali Khan, Rahim Khan, Amanullah Khan, Syed Rahim Shah, Fazal Khan, Pir Zahir, Pir Azhar, Sheikh Muhammad Ali, Sheikh Ghulamullah, Khalifa Sehr Din, Malik Wilayat Khan, Malik Nobat Khan, Malik Ahmad Khan, Malik Sultan Khan, Malik Shah Gul, Malik Yar Gul, Fazal Qayyum and many other respected figures.

Gandapur welcomed the new entrants by placing traditional turbans on their heads. Addressing the gathering in simple Siraiki, he challenged political opponents to either prove their performance or leave politics, emphasising that real strength lies in the support of the people rather than symbolic authority. He criticised previous rulers for neglecting the public despite available resources and promised sincere efforts to resolve local issues, particularly access to clean water.

He highlighted that 26 tube wells had been provided for Kulachi and 15 for Daraban, and underlined his belief in delivering tangible results rather than symbolic gestures. Gandapur vowed to end feudal-style politics, prioritising truth and transparency, and praised the growing political awareness of the people.

He announced plans to personally spend Rs10 million to construct shelters for travellers and emphasised that development projects, including the Lift Canal, were underway to improve the city. Gandapur concluded by reaffirming his commitment to a journey of development, stressing that sincerity is essential and noting that there was no unpaved street in his constituency.
