ISLAMABAD: Security forces in Balochistan killed forty-one terrorists belonging to Indian-backed militant groups Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan in two separate intelligence-based operations, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

The operations, carried out in Harnai and Panjgur districts, targeted hideouts identified through actionable intelligence, officials said, highlighting the ongoing efforts to neutralize external threats to regional security. In Harnai district, troops conducted an operation following reports of the presence of Fitna al Khwarij militants on the outskirts of the district.

According to the ISPR, the security personnel engaged the hideout effectively, leading to an intense exchange of fire that resulted in the deaths of thirty Indian-sponsored Khwarij operatives. A significant cache of ammunition and explosives was recovered from the site and destroyed on the spot, preventing further threat to local communities.

In a separate operation in Panjgur district, security forces targeted a hideout linked to Fitna al Hindustan. Eleven terrorists were neutralized, and weapons, ammunition, and looted cash from a bank robbery carried out on 15 December last year were recovered. Officials noted that the militants were involved in numerous previous terrorist activities, underlining the persistent risk posed by external proxy networks in the region.

The ISPR added that sanitization operations are continuing in both districts to locate and eliminate any remaining militants sponsored by external actors. The operations reflect the armed forces’ stated commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and securing border areas against groups operating with foreign support.

Analysts said the coordinated strikes are likely to disrupt militant activities in Balochistan and serve as a warning against external interference in Pakistan’s internal security.
