LAKKI MARWAT: Police in Lakki Marwat conducted a major search and strike operation targeting terrorists of Fitna Al-Khawarij across the district, officials said on Monday. The operation was carried out under directives from RPO Bannu Sajjad Khan and DPO Lakki Marwat Nazir Khan.
Heavy contingents led by DSP Naurang Circle Saeed Khan and DSP Lakki Shahi Bakht conducted coordinated searches in Nasr Khel Dargah, Karam Dargah, border areas near Bannu, Wanda Akhundan, Wanda Sher Dil, Atshi Machan Khel, Ghati Machan Khel, and surrounding localities. Several terrorist hideouts were demolished, including a key safe camp used by commanders Tauseef and Imran for planning subversive and terrorist activities.
Police recovered a significant cache of explosives, bomb-making materials, ready-to-use IEDs, and a stolen Honda 125 motorcycle during the raids.
RPO Bannu Sajjad Khan praised the police for the successful operation, stressing that Fitna Al-Khawarij terrorists would be relentlessly pursued to ensure public safety. DPO Nazir Khan said the force would continue to act against terrorists and anti-social elements with professionalism, adding that facilitators and supporters of terrorists would also face justice.
